Cryptographic Module and Algorithm Test

FIPS 140-2

FIPS 140-2 (ISO/IEC 19790) is a standard held by U.S. NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) for define the security requirements of cryptographic modules and guideline to test them. The standard provides 4 levels of security; level 1 to level 4. The standard also provides Approved cryptographic algorithms for the cryptographic module usage.

Our Asia Pacific IT Laboratory is one of laboratories accredited by the NIST’s NVLAP (National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program) (NVLAP lab code: 201038-0) to perform cryptographic modules and algorithms testing for compliance with FIPS 140-2. We can also offer pre-validation workshops to clarify the extent to which an existing or planned crypto module fulfills the requirements or what amendments need to be made as well as project consulting and document creation.
